Platinum Games' "NieR: Automata" game is scheduled to release this month exclusively for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows platforms. Before its launching date, many fans are asking if there are possibilities that this game could get a Nintendo Switch edition.
The developer clarified that they have no plans for a "NieR: Automata" Nintendo Switch version, however, that doesn't discount the fact that they are open to the idea. They are willing to bring the game to Switch as long as the fans will demand it, and Square Enix, the game's publisher, will provide financial support.
In a recent Q&A session hosted by Square Enix for "NieR: Automata," game designer, Takihisa Taura, adressed rumors by saying: "From our perspective on Platinum Games, if Square Enix pays us to do it, we'll make you a version for the Switch, we'll make you a version for the Super Nintendo if you want, anything you ask for."
Nintendo Switch is slated to be released on March 3 together with a handful of official games confirmed for the console, such as "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" and "The Elder Scroll V: Skyrim." Like "NieR: Automata," other noteworthy games are also rumored to be released to Nintendo's latest offering.
"NieR: Automata" will be launched in Japan on Feb. 23, 2017, and will get a March 7 and 10 release date for North America and Europe, respectively. Stay tuned for more updates here!
