The VR-centric manga and anime series "Sword Art Online" will arrive to Fove 0 owners in a new VR experience, which features the female protagonist Asuna. The SAO experience was made to welcome the new users and to train them how to use Fove 0 - the first available VR headset commercially that has an integrated eye-tracking.
Reports say that Fove 0 users will meet Asuna who acts as a caretaker to new users and the SAO experience controls the Fove 0's eye-tracking capabilities, which will give Asuna an ability to be aware when a user is staring at her and the most important is where the users' eyes drift when she's speaking. When a user looks at her straight in the eye will make her smile but ignoring her will get her upset and according to Asuna's Japanese language voice actor Haruka Tomatsu, Asuna will go mad if she is being stared for a longer time.
The SAO experience was crafted to honor the forthcoming "Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale" 2017 film. Japan and Korea will have it first starting Jan. 31 through July 31 although there is no word yet as to when it should be made available to Western fans.
In other SAO news, the tech-friendly series "Sword Art Online" first made its anime appearance in 2012 followed by its second season in 2014 but right after it ended, it has been real silent. Howbeit, the series will get its newest feature next month and the movie's first screening was showcased to some lucky fans where they said that the event concluded with an eminent revelation.
"Sword Art Online" movie's test screenings showed fans a special clip after the feature was aired that it is making a comeback, according to Comic Book. There is no official confirmation from A-1 Pictures yet but it is likely to be announced closer to "Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale" Japanese release in February.
