Blizzard is now working on some changes to "Overwatch" hero Bastion, and these changes are currently in a testing process. These changes are for the hero's improvement on action performance, attacks and defense.

An "Overwatch" fan once complained about the performance of Bastion in a battle. Aside for his big size which is very easy to target, Bastion has no defensive abilities and is incapable to escape from any ambush attacks. Since then, Blizzard started updating the hero with some changes that are likely to be testable in the next release on the PTR.

Geoff Goodman,Blizzard's "Overwatch" game lead designer, shared some tweaks that Bastion could get on the next game update. As he said, these high level changes are at work for the hero's big and powerful improvement.

The three major changes that Blizzard are testing now for Bastion are the Recon Mode, Sentry Mode, and Self-repair, which are commonly complained by players about the hero. On the Recon mode, the developer increased the magazine size while lowered the spread rate, hoping to help the hero's viability.

Fortunately, Blizzard's "Overwatch" team are also testing a few big changes in Bastion's self-repair ability. As what Goodman explained in a forum, these changes have turned this ability from a more "niche rarely used ability, to a much more powerful and core survivability tool."

According to Polygon, many defensive characters in "Overwatch" have been reworked and improved since the game's release, however, Bastion has been seemingly left behind. Blizzard's "Overwatch" team is currently testing a few things in the character, and they promise that players can try and test these few changes in the hero soon.
