The Executioner is the newest card in "Clash Royale" and apparently, it appears that the epic card is causing a lot of dilemma in the competitive arena. Particularly, on how its fans believe that the card is critically overpowered.
It has just been days following its launch but fans have been already demanding for the complete change of the card's effectiveness. Here's why.
"Clash Royale": Overpowered Executioner?
The "Clash Royale" Executioner is considered by many to be highly overpowered, specifically in the current Meta where it efficiently impedes most prominent decks like the Spawner, Lava Hound and Zap-bait decks. A growing thread from the Clash Royale subreddit has explained how the Executioner merely counters these archetype decks and how this single card has eventually killed the game's diversity.
Executioner's Strengths in Comparison
Players should be able compare the "Clash Royale" Executioner to a card that functions the same as it and has the same Elixir cost as well, in case would be a Wizard, to apparently make them have the full grasp of its power. When players compare the Executioner from the Wizard, it would supposedly be easy for them to spot the huge difference between the capabilities of the two.
Although the Wizard has more DPS than the "Clash Royale" Executioner, the latter has more straight damage than the former. The Executioner has more HP than the Wizard, which makes it easier to resist a direct hit from Lightning and Fireball. The Executioner disables the movements of all medium troops and below, which ultimately makes it way more superior than the Wizard.
Executioner's Possible Nerf
According to reports, the possible nerfs to the card's overpower, while apparently maintaining its Epic stature, are to reduce its HP and Range, remove its axe's stun and increase its Elixir Cost. It would solely depend on how Supercell will apparently approach the upcoming changes. It is worth noting that after fans complained about the underwhelming "Clash Royale" Elite Barbarians, the studio had severely buffed the card.
