This week's Bungie blog update focused on the upcoming "Destiny" Hotfix 2.5.0.2, which is scheduled to launch mid-February and the adjustments it would make to the game. It looks like the main goal for this hotfix is bringing balance changes to the Crucible.
An overview of the update was also revealed by senior designer Josh Hamrick, as well as mentions of a live event before the actual release. And this week, Xur returns with more weapons and gear for sale.
Find Xur. According to Games Radar, you can find Xur between January 27 to 29 at the Vanguard Hall, selling some pretty decent items. This week's line-up includes The Glasshouse (Exotic Titan helmet), Graviton Forfeit (Exotic Hunter helmet), and Claws of Akamhara (Exotic Warlock gauntlets) all for 13 Strange Coins. The Zhalo Supercell, an Exotic auto rifle, also goes on sale for 23 Strange Coins.
Find the full list here. You can catch Xur at the Vanguard Hall until Sunday morning, 10AM UK and 2AM PT, after which, he'll be gone the whole week again.
Destiny Hotfix 2.5.0.2 Live Stream. As per Bungie's weekly post, the "main goal of 2.5.0.2 is to adjust all sorts of attacks and counter attacks in the Crucible." This hotfix is set to drop sometime mid-February this year, and it's set to bring adjustments to Special Ammunition, fix some known issues with a sampler platter of Exotics, and promote alternatives and counters to Shotguns. You can see a full break down of the list on Bungie's blog.
For more details, senior designer Josh Hamrick writes that he hopes the snippets of information "will at least tide you over until we can tell you more." He then teases at a live event for this, following with "maybe we can even do that live in the near future."
This is then confirmed by the original blog writer, DeeJ, who mentions a stream chat and a live fire exercise before the mid-February launch of "Destiny" Hotfix 2.5.0.2. More details are promised to come within the next week.
