The mod tools and Steam Workshop support for "Civilization VI" is currently under development. This has been confirmed by Pete Murray of Firaxis in a recent Twitch clip.

"Civilization VI" is a turned-based video game developed by Firaxis Games. The game was published by 2K games for PC. It was distributed by Take-Two interactive. The game was released on Oct. 21, 2016.

The "Civilization VI" mod tools and Steam Workshop support are already overdue. Fans of the video game have long been waiting for the two since after the launch of the game.

Fans of the game were promised by the game developer that mod tools for the sixth installment of the "Civilization" game franchise will be launched and the fans have been patiently waiting. However, players of the game were vexed when the feature was removed from Steam as a listed feature. For three months, Firaxis has been mostly tightlipped about the most awaited tools for the game.

Though avid fans have already introduced several modifications to the game, having the official mod tools will make it easier for mod creators to introduce things that will improve the game. The Steam Workshop support, on the other hand, will make locating and installing "Civilization VI" mods easier.

In the recent Twitch clip, Pete Murray from game developer Firaxis games discussed about the game's multiplayer mode. Murray also shared details about the long awaited mod tools and Steam workshop support for the game.

According to Murray, their team back at Firaxis is currently working on them. He even assured fans that they will be sharing more information to fans once they have it.

Murray's statement is a welcome development for the fans of the turn-based game. Murray also discussed multiplayer teams for the game. The addition of multiplayer teams is also a long awaited "Civilization VI" update.
