There are a number of puzzles in the "Resident Evil" 7 game that are difficult to solve. The "Happy Birthday" puzzle is reportedly the hardest puzzle in the game. Here is a guide to solve the most challenging puzzle in Resident Evil 7.

Steps To Solve The Puzzle

• Firstly he has to grab the candle from the body behind him.
• Then, he should walk to the kitchen where he can find water dripping and also a birthday cake.
• When the candlelight goes off, due to dripping water in the cake room the player need not panic, as a ceiling light will be turned on, as reported by Gamerant.
• From the kitchen, the player has to head towards the bathroom.
• Upon flushing the handle, the water will overflow, and there will be a dirty telescope on the bowl. The player should take it and make it usable.
• There will be a number of monitors hung on the wall. Player has to walk through the kitchen and again and view these monitors with the telescope.
• He will be able to see some figures light up more obviously than the others. These are the clues.
• Player has to go back to the cake room with the clues and enter the four symbols (hanging person, gravestone, and fetus) to unlock the lock.
• The cabinet can be opened and the player will find a straw doll.
• The player has to burn the doll by taking it to the stove in the kitchen. Upon burning the doll, the player will be able to collect a new item: the dummy finger.
• Player has to fix the finger onto the corpse's hand from which he first took the candle. Again back in the kitchen, the player has to light the candle in the stove, as reported by Gamespot.
• The room with the monitors will lead to a door locked with a rope. Player has to burn the rope with the candle so that he can open the door.
• The next room will be filled with blown-up balloons. At the right side corner, there will be a small deflated balloon, which the player has to pick up.
• Back in the kitchen, the player can find a leaking gas pipe sticking on the wall, which he can use to inflate the balloon until it pops.
• This will give the player a quill pen and a nail.
• Player has to place the quill pen in the candle man's hand. Back in the cake room, the player can find a winding key and a black liquid, which can be used to give life to the body and allow him to draw a tattoo on the player's arm with the black ink.
• The tattoo is the clue 'Loser' to open the lock in the balloon room and enter a new room.

The new room will give the player the valve to lock the water dripping in the cake room. The player can use it to stop the water and light the candle again in the stove to place it on the cake.
