Square Enix's upcoming role-playing video game, "Final Fantasy VII Remake" has been subject to a slew of rumors surrounding its release date, which appears to be erroneous. The game publisher Square Enix has finally broken its silence on exactly what is stopping the game from hitting the store shelves.
The game director Tetsuya Nomura attributed the delayed launch of "Final Fantasy VII Remake" to "Kingdom Hearts 3." Although work is making headway without difficulty, Nomura told Famitsu (via GamingBolt), there are quite a few physical factors that have become stumbling blocks as far as the game's development is concerned.
According to Nomura, it is not easy for the in-office as well as non-office staff to link up. Aside from that, there's "Kingdom Hearts 3" on top and to make things more challenging, the management no longer functions the way it used to before.
Nomura noted that the aforesaid challenges are physical ones, and not pertaining to the game's content. Plus, each section is moving towards solutions in collaboration with the game publisher.
Nomura urged fans to not worry about the delay, though. In fact, he claims the added development time would make sure that both "Final Fantasy VII Remake" and "Kingdom Hearts 3" would be exactly what "FFVII" and "KH3" fans have been restlessly waiting for.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Release Date
With multiple reports confirming Tetsuya Nomura's plan to attend a notable international conference, it looks like the "Final Fantasy VII Remake's" release date could be just around the corner.
Although it's been more than a year since fans got a peek at "Final Fantasy VII Remake," Nomura's participation at MAGIC (Monaco Anime Game International Conference) 2017 could be related to a new reveal, according to Express.
Multiple sources previously hinted at a 2017 launch for "Final Fantasy VII Remake." However, latest reports suggest that the long-awaited remake of "Final Fantasy VII" is likely to miss its 2017 PS4 release date.
The game is also trotted out for Xbox One, although there's no word on exactly how afar the two consoles will arrive. Square Enix took the wraps off "Final Fantasy VII Remake" at the Sony E3 conference, where it was divulged that fans can play it on PS4.
Though exclusivity is hinted at, this is the first time an Xbox One variant has surfaced online. Optimistic fans are now hazarding guesses that a Nintendo Switch version could be in the offing as well.
