James Cameron is back in "Terminator" universe and he is tagging along "Deadpool" director, Tim Miller, with him. According to recent reports, Cameron and Miller are currently in talks about a "Terminator" reboot and giving the movie franchise a proper conclusion.
"Terminator" diehard fans will remember Cameron as the man who directed and co-written the first installment of the sci-fi film way back 1984. Cameron also directed the "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" in 1991. Now, 26 years after he had real involvement in the movie franchise, Cameron is reportedly coming back to give more sense to the sci-fi hit film' story.
According to Deadline, David Ellison of Skydance and current owner of the rights to the "Terminator" movie franchise is currently bankrolling the efforts to add creativity to the film, an effort which reportedly includes engaging some of the prominent names in sci-fi.
Though there have been no reports as to what direction the next "Terminator" movie will take, the return of Cameron has already sparked optimism to fans of the sci-fi movie especially after the dismissal performance of the recent terminator movies.
There is a speculation that the next movie from the sci-fi movie franchise may be a reboot of the entire "Terminator" story. However, some believe that Cameron may want to pick up where he left in "Terminator 2: Judgment Day."
It is also unclear if Cameron will tap his "Terminator" 1 and 2 star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to reprise his role as T-800. Though this might actually happen especially since the Ex-Governor had recently suited up for the role in the 2016 movie "Terminator Genisys".
Schwarzenegger has also insisted that "Terminator Genisys 2" will still be filmed despite being pushed back to a later date. These statements were however made before news broke out that Cameron will be coming back.
