"Avatar" was released in 2009 and everyone has been waiting for "Avatar 2," which is expected to hit the cinemas in late 2018. In 2015, it was announced that the Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort will house an Avatar-themed area in summer 2017.

According to Cinema Blend, one of the Na'vi residents was shown in November and the tour of the forthcoming attraction was filmed and uploaded, which left the man behind "Avatar," director James Cameron speechless. Although Pandora: The World of Avatar is not yet finished, a most recent video on the YouTube channel of Disney Parks has surfaced allowing fans to see the attraction.

Upon personally seeing the work in progress for the "Avatar" attraction, Cameron was apparently impressed. The video shows the combination of the physical setting, which has been crafted with ideas of the artwork and snippets from the movie.

Walt Disney Imagineering Senior VP Creative Joe Rohde called the project a ‘custom designed, complex, programmed piece of show equipment,' which has an astounding overall result. Disney has the people who are working together on the attraction that included structural engineers, digital design artists and robotics technicians.

According to Slash Film, the video features two major attractions such as the Na'vi river journey, which is a dark ride through a water flume taking guests to the Pandora jungles and Flight of Passage, which is a simulator ride allowing riders to feel like they're riding a mountain banshee over the planet. Cameron admitted that regardless of making this mythology and learning all the engineering and mechanics of the construction, he is still amazed by the result.

Additionally, Disney Florida and California branches are both having a "Star Wars" Land installed. A "Toy Story" themed area will also be added to both of the Hollywood Studios as well as the new Disney park in Shanghai, China.

There is no official opening date for the Pandora: The World of Avatar but as for the movie "Avatar 2," it is set to hit theaters on Dec. 21, 2018. Moreover, three more movies are also set to follow after.
