Many users are still awaiting for the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" update that will feature the release of the Pokemon Bank. While this feature will allow gamers to transfer their favorite Pokemon to the Alola, here is a guide on how and where users can catch rare Pokemon.

The Pokemon Company is expected to release the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" update that will allow the transfer of Pokemon using the Pokemon Bank. While the said update is expected to be released this January 2017, many gamers continue to be on the haunt for rare Pokemon to be used for Battle Season 2.

Of course, some users refuse to check on the locations of rare Pokemon since it takes away the thrill and challenge from "Pokemon Sun and Moon." For those of you who have given up going from one location to another, Ranked Boost provided an in-depth list of Pokemon and their locations.

For example, Mareanie, a water type Pokemon that is considered as rare and hard-to-find may be found at the Alkala Island. According to the publication, in order to catch Mareanie, users need to take with them adrenaline orbs, plenty of dive balls and a fishing rod.

Jangmo-o is also one of the rarest Pokemon to find in "Pokemon Sun and Moon;" however, players who have been playing the game for a while may scout this Pokemon using a Totem Pokemon at Vast Pond Canyon in Poni Island. There are also the rare ones that require players to be Alola Champions such as Cosmog.

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" remains as one of the hottest games in 2016, as IGN reports that Nintendo has sold more than 4 million copies of the game. The company's statement reflects that the Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon ranked as their second and third best-selling games in December respectively.

Players are expecting to hear updates about the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" and the subsequent release of the Pokemon Bank. Nintendo is expected to announce updates this January.
