Nintendo Switch is set to do great - Naughty Dog programmer and former PlayStation 4 hardware engineer Drew Thaler claimed. The recent unveiling of the Nintendo Switch sent shockwaves across the gaming scene and albeit few criticisms, everyone is happy about the newest console.

Enthusiasts might have few concerns about the Nintendo Switch, but everyone else, including a preeminent Naughty Dog figure, are happy with what Nintendo has revealed. According to a GamingBolt report, Thaler stressed that the Nintendo Switch is the embodiment of all strengths that Nintendo can offer.

Thaler added that Naughty Dog expects a few things from Nintendo Switch and it feels good that the console is hitting them all. Topping the list are high-definition 3DS, motion control and being portable. The latter is a Nintendo Switch strength that neither Sony PlayStation nor Microsoft Xbox can contest.

Meanwhile, Thaler observed that developers like Naughty Dog seem to be taking caution when it comes to the new Nintendo Switch. However, he believes that the new console will eventually sell and developers will start to flock once it happened. Developers follow where the audience is so Nintendo Switch will have its day once it captured a significant market and fanbase.

Of course, Nintendo Switch has a good start with "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" under its wings. The franchise is well established and gives Nintendo the leverage it needs to sell. Then there is "Minecraft" which was confirmed by no less than Nintendo's official website. The latter being a thing of curiosity since it is a game owned by rival Microsoft.

In the end, what could be Nintendo Switch's future will boil down on March 3, 2017 when it hits the road. It is interesting to know by then if how well Nintendo can convince gamers to grab their newest console. If all the marketing stunt and apparent support from big figures like Thaler converts into good sales, then Nintendo Switch could be the biggest gaming boost of 2017.
