Battery technology has not been that good since a few years back and Nintendo Switch has clearly reflected this flaw. A truly portable Nintendo Switch console that could run at minimum of 2.5-hour gameplay and up to 6 hours isn't that bad; but hardcore gamers are, of course, asking for more juice.

First things first, though. There is a variation on the number of hours that Nintendo Switch can sustain on-the-go because it is dependent on the title and the amount of resources it needs. The better quality the game is, Nintendo Switch requires additional power to make it run smoothly, MMOExaminer reported.

Take for example the case of Nintendo Switch's flagship "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" which requires a lot of resources to play. While it can run on a lower spectrum, Zelda can still be a power hog. Put in the online playability option for other titles and Nintendo Switch will definitely require more from the battery, TrustedReviews stressed.

So, battery life is becoming a point of contention for Nintendo Switch, although it is truly not the manufacturer's fault. Again, battery is a separate technology that Nintendo Switch had just incorporated in their console.

Come to think of it, gamers may have just been expecting too much out of the Nintendo Switch Battery life. Comparably, even other Nintendo portable devices like Wii U gamepad and 3DS can't last longer than Nintendo Switch's offer of 6 hours max. Further, the former needs a special stand to charge while Nintendo Switch simply requires an adapter, much like a regular cellphone.

"That's not a very long gaming session," players complained. In reality, it is hard to see the rationale behind this Nintendo Switch rant. After all, this latest console is not a mobile phone but a full-fledged console.

Here is our two cents: be conscious on where to play Nintendo Switch. There could be strategic places out there where a power socket is available.
