Rumors and speculations about the iPhone 8 have flooded the internet particularly because Apple is said to launch a new flagship phone in celebration of iPhone's 10th year. However, new rumors have spread that the next big thing from Apple may not be the iPhone 8 but the iPhone X.
According to reports, Apple has been ramping up the improvements to its smartphone technology and has been developing a new flagship phone to aptly celebrate the iPhone's 10th year. However, these reports have been centered on the development of an iPhone 8.
Recent developments may, however, refute the launch of an iPhone 8 as news have already spread that Apple will actually be introducing an iPhone X this 2017. Why the X? The Roman numeral X is equivalent to 10, so it actually makes a lot of sense to launch an iPhone X during the smartphone's 10th year.
As reported by mashable, Cowen and Company analyst Timothy Arcuri in his recent report to the company's investors claimed that 2017 will be a "feature-rich launch" for Apple. Arcuri reportedly said that Apple will be launching a 5.8inch model which the company has named the iPhone X.
The new iPhone X will apparently have wraparound screen with all external features that are currently seen in recent iPhone models all embedded into it. Another iPhone X feature that has already been reported to be featured in the next Apple flagship phone is the wireless charging capability.
The report from Arcuri provided some intriguing new features that the iPhone X will allegedly have. Among these new features claimed by Arcuri is that a facial along with a gesture recognition tech will be added in Apple's new phone. The technology is said to be powered by a laser sensor.
However, all these reports will remain just a rumor up until the new iPhone is actually launched or Apple makes an official announcement. For now, the only thing certain is Apple will unveil an iPhone that screams "Happy 10th Year iPhone".
