Nintendo will launch "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" on Nintendo Switch and Wii U console this coming March. However, many fans and gamers are still confused how these two console versions differ.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" Nintendo Switch game version renders at 900p resolution, while the Wii U console version only renders at 720p. In spite of that, both game versions target 30fps.

When about the audio quality between "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" two console versions also have a quiet difference. According to IGN, the game's Nintendo Switch version has a higher quality environmental sound. As a result, the sound of steps, grass, water, and other background sounds are more realistic and enhance the game's open-air feel.

When it comes to the memory size, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" Nintendo Switch version is heavier than the Wii U version. As reported by Eurogamer, a download file of the game will fill nearly half of Nintendo Switch's internal storage. The game has a 13.4GB size with Switch and 13GB on Wii U.

The physical copy of the Wii U version will require 3GB of available memory on the Wii U system or an external drive according to IGN. There are also small factors that differ between the two versions of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" like some icons, onscreen buttons and other console screen properties immaterial to the game's performances.

Unfortunately, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" special and master editions are both not available for the Wii U version. The Nintendo action-adventure game is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2017 for both consoles.
