"Girl Meets World" Season 3 cancellation news disappointed a lot of viewers of the "Boy Meets World" sequel on Disney Channel. While there is no longer hope to revive the show on the network following the finale episode titled, "Girl Meets Goodbye," many remain optimistic that another network will pick up the series. Will Netflix be the show's new home?

"Girl Meets World" Season 3 has been officially cancelled on Disney Channel, which made a lot of fans and viewers heartbroken. Despite their disappointment over the network's decision to cancel the show after three seasons, many fans began petitioning for the show's renewal in another network.

As Bustle notes in its report, it has been believed that "GMW" Season 3 has been cancelled on the network because it is starting to outgrow the network and its audience. Since Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and their friends have already entered high school, it is expected that the show will touch up on mature and serious topics.

Disney Channel caters to a younger audience, so that may explain the network's decision to end "Girl Meets World" after Season 3 with "Goodbye." However, fans are not yet ready to say goodbye to the "Boy Meets World" sequel just yet and have started a petition to renew the show in another network.

According to Pop Wrapped, there is a possibility that "Girl Meets World" Season 4 renewal will happen on Netflix or Hulu. In a recent interview with series creator Michael Jacobs, it has been revealed that there are talks to renew the show in another network.

Jacobs explained that the talks are still in its early stages, so nothing is set in stone just yet. Should "Girl Meets World" Season 4 get picked up by another network, Jacobs shared that it is all because of the fans' efforts to get the show renewed.
