"Phantom Dust" is likely to hit the road before E3 2017 as Microsoft Xbox One aims to reinforce its thinning list of exclusive games, according to Phil Spencer. However, it is unclear whether Xbox One will release a beta version or the full-pledged "Phantom Dust" that is ready for mass distribution.

Considering the time frame between E3 event in June and current lack of flair for "Phantom Dust" gamers suspect that beta version is more feasible. In fact, both Microsoft executives Phil Spencer and Shannon Loftis went silent in Twitter after initial tease that they love to see "Phantom Dust" at E3.

The whole "Phantom Dust" fuss started when Twitter user Zach asked Xbox division head Phil Spencer if the game has any update under its sleeve. Spencer promptly answered that they would love to see gamers playing at E3 2017, thus confirming the suspicions that "Phantom Dust" is still alive. Spencer also referred the whole discussion to Loftis who in turn said that the game should be great, WCCFTech reported.

Meanwhile, the whole "Phantom Dust" affair took another course as "Mech Assault" was mentioned along the line. StarGuardian asked if there is a possibility that the hit game could make a return in current console Xbox One. Spencer opined that "Mech Assault" is a game that offers rich experience and it would be a shame if it can't make a comeback at some point.

Come to think of it, Xbox One needs genuine exclusive games like "Phantom Dust" and "Mech Assault" in its lineup considering that the options for 2017 is gravely stretched. The reemergence of discussion about "Phantom Dust" and potential reincarnation of "Mech Assault is at least, reassuring.

In the absence of tangible "Phantom Dust" and "Mech Assault," what could be the most anticipated offering that will unleash this year is "Sea of Thieves." In fact, mush hope is being built in "Sea of Thieves" as the game opens for beta test this weekend.
