Characters from "Stranger Things" season one that will be returning for season two are revealed as well as new characters that will join the popular TV show from Netflix including Sean Astin, according to a report by NME. All the kids from season one are confirmed to return. This means we will get to see Eleven, Will, Dustin, Nancy, Mike, Jonathan and Steve in season two. In addition to that wonderful news, a new cast of characters is set to join the gang.
Sean Astin, the actor who played Samwise Gamgee in "Lord of the Rings," will join the series and will play the character of Bob Newby. This persona is described to be a kindhearted person who had gone to high school with Winona Ryder's character, Joyce. Another actor who will step in is Sadie Sink, who has starred in "Unbreakable Kimmy Schimdt," also from Netflix. She will play the role of Max, a teenage girl who is tough and rides a skateboard.
Dacre Montgomery, the actor who stars as the Red Ranger in the upcoming "Power Rangers" movie, is cast as Billy, the brother of Max who drives a Camaro.
Meanwhile, according to report by Digital Spy, M Night Shyamalan, the director of the supernatural horror thriller "The Sixth Sense" and the superhero drama thriller "Unbreakable," stated that he was very interested in directing one episode of "Stranger Things." It is important to note that Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, creators of "Stranger Things," made their TV debut on M Shyamalan's "Wayward Pines." Shyamalan jokingly stated, "They were round my house and I was like, 'Well, you can hire me back guys!'"
