Fans of the Neo Geo should be happy to know that classic game titles of the console will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, according to a report by Engadget.
The confirmed games that will be ported to the new hybrid gaming console are "King of Fighters '98," "Waku Waku 7," "Shock Troopers," "Metal Slug 3" and "Heroes Perfect." All five games will be published by Hamster Corporation.
There will be a lot of settings for each game that includes restoring it to the original visuals of a CRT TV, players will also be able to adjust the games' difficulty and compare rankings with players around the world.
In other news, the Neo Geo games will be released right after the release of the Nintendo console itself and will cost 823 yen for each game.
The Nintendo Switch is the latest hybrid gaming console from Nintendo, which is set to be released on March 3, 2017. You can play it in your living room and still play the exact same game on-the-go. The console will have online features that will allow you to download classic games from the Nintendo Entertainment System and Super NES gaming library via a subscription service. Those games will be available for paid subscribers for free for that month only.
Neo Geo games being ported to the Nintendo Switch should be no surprise as the Wii U's virtual console already included Neo Geo titles. Nevertheless, it's still exciting to know that our favorite games from the Neo Geo era will be included to the latest Nintendo console.
