It is possible that fans of "Final Fantasy XV" will see main protagonist Noctis on "Final Fantasy XIV" soon. Since the release of "FFXV," things had gone pretty well for the game. The director and producer of "Final Fantasy XIV" has already expressed his thoughts.
Producer Yoshida, or Yoshi-P, to fans revealed in an interview with 4Gamer the possible collaboration of "Final Fantasy XV" and "Final Fantasy XIV." According to Yoshi-P, while they can simply throw in Noctis' costume, the production team wanted to do more than that.
Fans of "Final Fantasy XV" may have remembered the collaboration between the game and "Final Fantasy XIII." The famous protagonist of the 13th title, Lightning, was also featured in "FFXIV."
Seeing Noctis in the near future of "Final Fantasy XIV" is not impossible. In fact, it is close to happening. They wanted to also add characters from "FFXV's" speech patterns and character traits. But Yoshi-P claims that until they do not fully understand what "Final Fantasy XV" is to them, they would have to hold the collaboration.
"Commercially speaking, now that 'Final Fantasy XV' is released, it would be a good timing, but that's not what I'm really thinking about right now," Yoshi-P said according to Siliconera. "Just like how Lightning's [collaboration event] was incorporated as part of the Lightning saga, I don't think it'd be as fun unless we have the four guys from 'Final Fantasy XV' get lost in the middle of their trip and somehow find themselves in Eorzea. When the time comes, we'll take it seriously," he added.
That being said, fans of both "Final Fantasy" titles could have something to look forward to. For now, fans could revel in the wonders of updates that have come and are coming to both titles. "Final Fantasy XIV" will receive a patch in January 17 titled "The Far Edge of Fate." "Final Fantasy XV," on the other hand, will be celebrating the Moogle Chocobo Carnival Event in January 24.
