The "Final Fantasy XV" update patch 1.05 did not only give "FFXV" PS4 Pro players the option to have the game on 60fps but also added time quests to the game. In the first "FFXV" time quest, players must defeat 100 Cactuar and Slactuar.
Facing a Cactuar or Slactuar one at a time will not give much of a challenge, however, the "Final Fantasy XV" Cactuar and Slactuar time quest shouldn't only be finished within the designated time but is actually done in a continuous battle. This means numerous Cactuar and Slactuar will be all over the place and are attacking at the same time.
As mentioned above, defeating Cactuar and Slactuar one at a time is definitely easy. However, engaging them in a continuous battle can be overwhelming.
Final Fantasy XV Guide: Cactuar And Slactuar Time Quest
The "Final Fantasy XV" Cactuar and Slactuar time quest is started by going to Southern Duscae. A player must go to west of the Causcherry Plains base. Locate the crater next to the base then head south towards a tower.
Players do not have to activate anything in the menu to engage the "Final Fantasy XV" Cactuar and Slactuar time quest. Players must only go to a designated waypoint to activate the quest.
The key in completing the "Final Fantasy XV" Cactuar and Slactuar time quest is that players must keep their distance so as not to be overwhelmed by needle attacks and status changing effects. Players are advised to use a large area of effect attacks in order to inflict damage while still remaining the distance.
Strong magic attacks are recommended for this time quest, however, players should not use Fire attacks as the creatures can absorb Fire attacks. Using Gladiou's Impulse technique is also highly recommended as it can damage multiple enemies with a single attack.
Once finished, the "Final Fantasy XV" Cactuar and Slactuar time quest will reward players 10,000EXP and 333AP. A 150,000 Gil reward and two oracle ascension coins are also given as part of the reward.
