Since "Battlefield 3," the game has set up this real time anti-cheating system that assures everyone has a fair chance. However, this said anti-cheating system has apparently banned skilled and legit "Battlefield 1" players. Apparently, the reason was they have been playing the game all too well.
According to Kotaku, FairFight, which is "Battlefield's" anti-cheating system, uses a function called the Algorithmic Analysis of Player Statistics or AAPS. This is used to compare the stats of the players with the regular level of skill.
Apart from that, the system also checks for events. These are happenings in the game that seemed unlikely to happen without using hacks. For example, a player might have massive kill streaks, FairFight would check for anomaly and ban the player in question. However, some "Battlefield 1" players appeared to be extremely good at the game that the system has banned them for cheating.
One of these legit players that have been banned with a Youtube channel kL-Spazmo was apparently banned from the game with a friend. The two were playing a match on Amiens when they were kicked out. FairFight has marked them as cheaters because they had been playing well.
Spazmo himself said that he had played a total of 2,800 hours with different FairFight enabled "Battlefield" titles. This was the first time he got banned in all those hours.
Another legit player, who was fourth on the global leaderboards, was also banned. Minidoracat was banned last December from "Battlefield 1."
Nonetheless, a gamer with the channel SpartanHoplite probably received the harshest ban. His record was 202-8 and he was permanently banned from playing "Battlefield 1." Apparently, he was able to get the numbers with a bomber.
After getting banned, Spazmo reached out to DICE developers on Twitter, as reported by VG247. Luckily, Producer Ali Hassoon promised to look into the issue.
