THQ Nordic and 343i joined have collaborated together to produce a physical copy of the game "Halo Wars 2." The new game has been released in two versions: Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition.

Dual Shockers reported that the Standard Edition includes the main copy of the game and is available at $59.99. The Ultimate Edition, on the other hand, offers the game along with a key letting gamers play four days earlier than the release. The Ultimate Edition also has the Halo Wars Definitive Edition and Halo Wars 2 Season pass. This edition will be sold for $79.99. Both versions will be made available in high quality packaging that is appealing to collectors.

Cogconnected reported that Lars Wingefors, founder and Group CEO of THQ Nordic, stated that after working with Microsoft on a lot of gaming titles last year, they are now excited to announce that they have started the year with another partnership. He also stated that, "Being able to deliver such a big franchise to RTS and Halo fans alike, the opportunity to buy and own this game in a beautiful physical shape is something we appreciate a lot. "

"Halo Wars 2" will be a part of Xbox Play Anywhere and a digital code for Xbox One will be made available. Though the two versions are both available to PC and Xbox One, Dual Shockers reported that the packaging for PC is better than Xbox One.

Cogconnected listed the features included when you have the Halo Wars Season Pass that is included in the Ultimate edition. It has the following features:

  • New Leaders that has the ability to change the course of multiplayer matches
  • New additional units to the multiplayer arsenal
  • New Blitz cards to collect and take into battle
  • New Campaign missions making the Halo Wars 2 story greater

The "Halo Wars 2" Standard Version will be available in the market starting February 21, 2017. The Ultimate Version, however, will be available from February 17, 2017.
