"ARK: Survival Evolved" from studio Wildcard is going to expand soon as developers are looking for more creative content. Reportedly, this will be a way for the game to gain support from Microsoft's upcoming Project Scorpio.
Wildcard co-founder Jeremy Stieglitz has expressed his own thoughts about the upcoming console. "It looks plenty powerful enough (for VR) to support it and have it look really good, it's just a matter of getting our hands on the console and seeing what we can achieve with it," he was quoted as saying in an article by COG Connected.
Ever since the launch of "ARK: Survival Evolved," it has ventured into other areas. It already had a spin-off called "Survival of the Fittest." The game has also featured various expansions and player-supported mods.
As the game grows, Wildcard hopes to bring it to more areas, including Project Scorpio. There is little known so far about the Microsoft offering as they remain tightlipped about the project. While other developers, like Bioware, reportedly have no plans of getting their games to the new console, Wildcard is very much open to working with Microsoft.
Stieglitz revealed that they are still very "experimental" with Virtual Reality. He also said that their VR support as of now isn't actually near implementation. He did, however, assure that Project Scorpio will be on their radar for the development of "ARK."
Meanwhile, Stieglitz also confessed that opening up support modding for the game was his favorite feature, along with another one. Apparently, Wildcard co-founder Stieglitz also likes "ARK's" characteristic that allows players to build bases on dinosaurs, as reported by Express.
"ARK: Survival Evolved" was released in September 2016. The game follows the player who is stranded on a mysterious island called ARK. Hungry, freezing and stranded, the players should use their skills to survive and ultimately escape the island and its plethora of dinosaurs and primeval creatures.
