Finnish phone maker Nokia joins the list of potential attendees at Mobile World Congress 2017 as rumors about the unveiling of the Nokia E1 and D1 circulate the net. While it would make sense for these much-awaited models to be unveiled at the MWC, Nokia has yet to confirm or deny.

The Mobile World Congress is set to launch February 27 of this year and will run until March 2. For mobile gadget companies and smartphone conglomerates, this is the place to be every year, as this is where most-anticipated mobile tech is unveiled.

While waiting, the netizens will have to make do with the leaked specs of the upcoming Nokia E1. According to Tech Times, online publication Nokia Power User managed to nab "exclusive information" about the entry-level smartphone.

The outlet makes it a point to mention that NPU does not name their sources either. So, it might be best for expectant fans to take the rumored specs with a grain of salt.

Front and Back. NPU reports a 5.2-inch/5.3-inch 720p display and a 5 MP front-facing camera. On the flipside, they report a modest 13 MP rear camera. No word other external features such as speakers, audio jacks, and USB ports.

Processing and RAM. The Nokia E1 may be powered by the 1.4 Ghz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor, according to the report, and it runs on Android Nougat 7.0. NPU says it'll have 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM.

Price and Release Date: According to Phone Arena, the Nokia E1 is likely to be "one of the cheapest smartphones launched by HMD this year," with rumors saying this entry-level Android smartphone could retail for just $150.

Fans are hopeful that we'll be seeing the Nokia E1 and the Nokia D1 as early as February 27th (at the MWC, no less). For the time being, there have been no official release dates set.
