2017 is finally here and that also means, fans of Apple are months away from the big reveal of the iPhone 8 this fall. So far, analysis had predicted that the said handheld will be garner more consumers and purchasers and convince more iPhone users to switch to a new device.

According to BGR, the Apple handheld will be a much bigger launch than the past iPhone 6 as analysist from Nomura stated on the publication. Nomura believes that the upcoming Apple flagship will raise the iOS subscriber base up to 45-50%, larger than the iPhone 4 did back on 2014 and model a total of $86 million iPhones in F1Q18.

Nomura continued that the previous handheld device drove the iOS base up to 35% that was followed by 5-10% increase from subsequent devices. With that said, iPhone 6 owners who have not yet upgraded to any of recent flagships might reconsider in purchasing the iPhone 8 on September.

In other news, Apple's upcoming device is reported to have a wireless charging features, The Verge reports. The news outlet states that the device may indeed ship without a single port or socket, making the handheld the first wireless phone in the smartphone industry.

Chief executive of Energous, Steve Rizzone, dropped major hints that the said company will be the ones providing wireless charging features for the upcoming device. Rizzone stated that Energous has signed a partnership with one of the largest consumer electronic companies in the world.

Rizzone mentions no names from the interview but teases everyone that their products can be seen from every person, office and home. For now, Apple enthusiast can expect big things coming for the iPhone 8 this September as wireless charging feature might be one of the innovating specs for the Apple flagship.
