Marvel fans who can't get enough of the franchise and its slew of various movies now have another title to look forward to. It appears that aside from the sequel to the hit 2014 movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy" will also be getting a video game thanks to Telltale Games.
WWG has revealed that Gamestop recently announced the release date for the retail version of Telltale Games' upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy" game. Based on Gamestop's post, it looks like the title will be available on April 25 of this year.
However, eager fans are cautioned that this game could be similar to other Telltale Games titles that were episodic in nature. Like "Back to the Future," episodes for "Guardians of the Galaxy" might be released gradually instead of having all 5 episodes available at once.
If Gamestop's announcement is true, fans can see what Star-Lord and the gang are up to at least one week before "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is aired on May 2. The hype for the game can also generate excitement for the upcoming sequel from Marvel.
While Telltale Games hasn't confirmed the validity of this announcement, other details about the upcoming game could soon be revealed in the following days. Stay tuned to find out more about the "Guardians of the Galaxy" Telltale game such as voice actors for the characters and the title's plot.
According to an earlier report from WWG, the upcoming Telltale game will be related to the sequel story-wise. While the teaser trailer was sparse when it came to details, it looks like it will be faithful to the tone of the first movie when it comes to the game's witty dialogue and action-packed scenarios. Telltale's "Guardians of the Galaxy" game will soon be released for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, mobile and PC.
