Two major console releases are going to happen this 2017 from Nintendo and Microsoft respectively. Throw in the mid generation issuance from PlayStation 4 Pro albeit earlier release and the trio is complete.

This will focus on guiding dear gamers on two choices this 2017, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Scorpio. After all, gamers already know what kind of muscle can PlayStation 4 Pro flexes so we will temporarily leave it behind.

Keep in mind as well that there are limitations on what the gaming community knows so far about Nintendo Switch and Xbox Scorpio. Meaning, we can scratch the surface and present these newcomers based on obvious respective advantages over each other. Further, both Nintendo Switch and Xbox Scorpio have issued statements that they aren't congruent so in effect will target different markets - no rivalry here.

Starting with Xbox Scorpio, everyone can bluntly place an argument that this console packs a power that can even rival that of gaming PC. Six teraflops of GPU and claims of true 4K resolution gaming is something unprecedented in Xbox Scorpio. If the primary aim in purchasing a gaming console this 2017 is power under the hood, Xbox Scorpio is the way to go.

Going into Nintendo Switch, while it may release at about the same price point as that of PlayStation 4, a portable monitor is cheaper alternative to LED television or gaming monitor. Nintendo Switch can also potentially bridge every member of the family with its iconic exclusive titles like Mario and Zelda. If the aim is portability and giving each member of the family a chance to play without buying too many monitors, Nintendo Switch is unrivalled choice.

Now to conclude, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Scorpio can co-exist in the gaming world without necessarily competing against each other. They are in two different leagues and targets different markets with different purposes. Time to check the budget now that we have lined up the obvious reasons to buy these technological wonders.
