Although Apple took the wraps off the highly anticipated iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones last year, the Cupertino-based tech firm refrained from shedding more light on a slew of other equally anticipated devices including the new iMac and iPads. But fret not as Apple is likely to unveil some of the most anticipated devices this year.

Much to the dismay of the iPhone's huge fanbase, last year's iPhone 7 and 7 Plus did not have much to offer, except for some changes such as the addition of capacitive Home button, removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack and a few changes in the design. Aside from that, the hype surrounding the arrival of Apple iPhone 8 stems from several reports that indicate the successor to the iPhone 7 will be the best till date and will sport some radical design overhaul coupled with never-before-seen features.

In addition, Apple is likely to release a few other devices in 2017. So, here's a look at the list of upgrades to the company's product line likely to be witnessed this year.

Apple iPhone 8

Things will be usual for Apple and the iPhone 8s in terms of business. The alleged iPhone refresh is likely to break the traditional ticktock upgrade pattern and make an appearance at iPhone's 10th anniversary, according to reports coming from the supply chain, via BGR.

Moreover, if other reports running rampant online proved to be true, Apple iPhone 8 will sport an edge-to-edge curved OLED display with a dual camera equipped with 3D imaging feature. It will be powered by a new A11 chipset but will not feature the traditional home button and headphone jack.

New iPads

Apple is reportedly gearing up to release an avant-garde line of new iPads this year, including the new iPad Pro with beefed up hardware and software. Moreover, it will feature an edge-to-edge display in order to follow a singular design for all its mobile devices that are up for grabs in 10 and 12.9-inch sizes. It will also pack a new chipset, improved camera, a robust battery and much more.

New iMacs

Much to the dismay of those waiting with bated breath for Apple to unveil their new iMacs, the tech giant only debuted the MacBook Pro. However, a long-awaited upgrade to its PC line could be in the offing this year. New iMacs are likely to hit the store shelves mid-year, according to KGI Securities' Ming-Chi Kuo, reports International Business Times.

The new iMac will be powered by Intel's Kaby Lake chipset and will pack AMD graphics. Bearing higher-resolution displays, it is likely to feature a keyboard with Touch Bar. Mounting shreds of evidence suggest that the new iMacs will have an element of surprise in store for iMac fans, which will be unraveled during the launch event.

New Apple Watch

Lately, Apple has not been focusing on its wearable lineup but things are likely to change in 2017 with the arrival of the Apple Watch 3. The new smartwatch will undergo a radical cosmetic overhaul and will have water resistance and a better processor. Apple Watch 3 is expected to launch alongside Apple iPhone 8 this year.

New Software

Following the trend, the iPhone 8 is likely to come with latest iOS 11 software, while the new iMac will be running on the latest build of OS X version. In addition, Apple Watch and Apple TV software are also slated to receive upgrades, which the company will hopefully roll out this year.

What Else Could Be In The Offing

Apple could also debut one of its long-rumored wearable devices i.e the Apple glasses or alternatively, intensify its game in the smart home segment by unveiling a new home hub. Moreover, Apple TV could also receive a new upgrade this year.
