Other materials that Apple can apparently use include sapphire, corundum, liquid metal and other impressive materials. Reports claim that the main focus was on the glass and Zirconia ceramic.
If Apple successfully utilizes Zirconia ceramic on its products, then it will eventually succeed too on solving one of its latest iPhones problem. The iPhone 5 as well displayed scratches faster than those of its other colors. With the help of a Zirconia ceramic body, Apple's famous Jet Black iPhone can shrug off this issue easily.
According to Express, Apple has already utilized Zirconia ceramic in a specific Apple Watch model. The tech giant's new laser polishing technology will permit them to finally apply the said material on its superior smartphone.
Other reports claim that there is also a possibility of employing an all-glass design. A patent was supposedly granted recently, which shows Apple's plans for an "Electronic Device with Wraparound Display". It is said that it resembles the previous Apple patents.
However, new reports say that the wrap around display will be apparently made totally of glass. The newly granted patent of laser polishing technique surely brings impressive potential to the Apple products. But it seems to be too late for it to be utilized on its 10th anniversary iPhone.
