Apple recently featured three videos that promote the enhanced versions of titles from "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin. The "Winds of Winter" author contemplated about his works in each of the videos.

WinterIsComing reported that the "Winds of Winter" author first talked about the first book in the series, "A Game of Thrones." The video lasted two minutes and featured artwork, where Martin discussed one of the first scenes he wrote, involving the direwolf pups that went to the different Stark children. The video also showed Martin talking about the iron throne and Daenerys Targaryen.

The second video showed the "Winds of Winter" author talking about the main theme of "A Song of Ice and Fire." Martin explained that the series focuses on power and how the different houses and characters have to face their own set of challenges and strategize to become part of the ever-changing layout and center of power.

In the third video, the "Winds of Winter" writer talked about the importance of family in Westeros. Fans will notice how each house protects their own, no matter what. Family members would do anything to save their kin and bring honor to their family in "Winds of Winter," writes MacRumors.

Previously, Apple and Random House worked together to present digital editions of all the books from "A Song of Ice and Fire." There were many add-ons that helped readers understand the complex story more. The enhanced editions of the novels, "A Game of Thrones," "A Storm of Swords, "A Clash of Kings," "A Dance of Dragons" and "A Feast for Crows," are currently available on the iBooks Store between $8.99 and $11.99. The enhanced editions include glossaries, annotations, interactive maps, family trees, and more. The actual "Winds of Winter" book and enhanced version have yet to launch.

Readers have been waiting for Book 6 for years. Martin previously explained that he has been quite busy with various projects which caused the delay. So far, reports indicate that the book will be out in early 2017 and that it is currently in the proofreading process. Some also believe that the release for Book 7, "A Dream of Spring," will happen simultaneously with Book 6. Knowing GRRM and his timelines, it is best to take these speculated schedules with a grain of salt.

In the meantime, fans can watch the Apple promo videos and look forward to "Game of Thrones" Season 7 on HBO, which airs in summer 2017. More updates and details on "Winds of Winter" and George R.R. Martin are expected soon.
