Continuing the theme of giving this holiday season, Paypal UK has just announced in its twitter page that Steam will be having its winter sale this December 22.

The annual Autumn Sale of Steam, dabbed as the last big sale, was inaugurated earlier last month and has continued to shower video game players with a number of the top video games of 2016 in a much lower price.

In the Steam sale last month, popular video games such as Civilization 6, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Life is Strange and Dark Souls were sold at a very affordable price much to the delight of avid video game players.

The winter Steam sale is said to be the last sale to be offered by Valve this year. If the trend in the price drop that was seen in Steam's summer, Halloween and Thanksgiving sales will continue, video game aficionados are up for a treat as top video games may be offered for sale with a discount of as much as 92%.

Since one of the top video games of the year, Grand Theft Auto, was offered in the Steam Thanksgiving sale, video game players are already anticipating that Steam will be offering some of the year's most sought after video games in its winter sale.

The winter Steam sale will take place the same day as the first voting day for Valve's Steam Awards. Up for grabs is the 'Just 5 More Minutes' award for the game that video game players are most hooked, the 'Villain Most in Need of A Hug Award' and 'I Though This Game Was Cool Before It Won An Award' title for indie video games.

December 22 is also the start of the long holiday vacation in some of the countries, this may be the reason why Valve seized that date as the opportune time to conduct its winter Steam sale.
