The much awaited confirmation for the last massive Steam sale for the year, dubbed Winter Sale, has finally been rolled out. Enthusiasts can begin their Christmas shopping spree for games this coming Thursday, Dec. 22.
The news was first brought to light by PayPal's United Kingdom Twitter account a few days back, which is not entirely surprising, to say the least.
According to the report from GameSpot, PayPal has already pulled the exact same thing on Steam's Winter Sale last year. The interesting bit, however, is the date, which is also set to start at the same day this year.
Those who have been following the news - and the rumor mill - may have already prepared themselves for the Steam Winter Sale 2016. As what some might recall, reports about the Dec. 22 start date have already been seen doing rounds online since earlier this month, as reported by Eurogamer. The offer is expected to end on Jan. 2, 2017.
As for the list of games that will be included in the Steam Winter Sale 2016, unfortunately, Steam has yet to release any official information regarding the full list. But there is one title in particular that may get featured again on the sale and it is Rockstar Games' "Grand Theft Auto V."
Many fans, specifically the ones who have been on Steam for quite some time now, might remember that "GTA V" has always been present in the gaming portal's list. A couple of examples are from the Steam Black Friday 2016 sale and the Steam Halloween 2016 sale.
Furthermore, there hasn't been any news yet on whether or not it will release a new set of Winter Sale-themed trading cards this time around just like what it did for last year's event.
With all that in mind, it's best to just wait for Steam Winter Sale 2016 to officially kick off and hope that more amazing deals would get released this year. More news about the matter should emerge in the coming days.
