After the much hyped release of the newest installment of Square Enix's iconic video game, Final Fantasy XV, the video game community has been guessing as to what exciting updates Square Enix has under their sleeves to make Final Fantasy XV as successful if not more successful than the game's previous versions.

GTA V has just recently introduced its import/export update and a number of the best video games of 2016 have caught up and also introduced several improvements.

Speculations have died down a bit since the recent pronouncement of Haruyoshi Sawatari, Final Fantasy XV's producer, that a bevy of downloadable contents (DLC) packs will be made available for each of FFXV's iconic characters except for Noctis.

Also, according to Sawatari, FFXV players will already be allowed to venture into areas that are existing in the main story of the game during the Gladiolus's story FFXV DLC. The Gladiolus DLC will also bring back on of the FF series' classic monster in the form of Gilgamesh.

Although Sawatari refuses to give hints as to what revamped version of Gilgamesh will look like, he, however mentioned that Gilgamesh will be formidable enough to give Gladiolus a real challenge.

The Gladiolus DLC will also delve deeper into the disappearance of Gladiolus.

The DLC is a pleasant surprise for FFXV players as it departs from the way the game is typically played today. Pundits welcomes the DLC as something that could help the game to have a much improve gameplay experience.

If Square Enix succeeds in making the game more exciting by integrating the DLC seamlessly to the game's current storyline so that players are allowed to play the DLC interwoven with the game main's story, the DLC will further widen the gap between FFXV and the rest of the top 2016 video games.

With a bunch of exciting video games slated to be released on 2017, including Square Enix's Nier: Automata, this scheduled DLC is sure to give FFXV an added boost to claim the early lead in the race for 2017 top video games.
