Bungie is gearing up for its next event in "Destiny: Rise of Iron." Its Winter event called "The Dawning" is launching next week, and here are a few things players should expect to see.

Sparrow Racing League Returns

The contents of the December update for "Destiny" was announced at the recently concluded Playstation Experience event. The Winter event, called "The Dawning," will bring tons of new content, as well as the return of the Sparrow Racing League to the game.

Bungie will be bringing back the Sparrow Racing League to "Destiny," as well as adding two new tracks and new Sparrows to the fray. Here's a clip from last year's event.

How To Get The New Exotic Weapon: Icebreaker

Also revealed in the trailer is the return of a powerful Exotic Weapon, the sniper rifle Icebreaker, according to GameRant.

The Icebreaker is considered as one of the best Exotic weapons in the game, as it is the only weapon who can regenerate its own ammo. At column 6, the Icebreaker can make enemies spontaneously combust, doing extra damage to anyone near them.

The Icebreaker also has the best range among all the sniper rifles in the game, making it arguably the best sniper, and one of the best weapons, available in "Destiny."

It's still a week away, but dedicated Youtuber and gamer Arekkz has already revealed on how players will be getying the Year 3 exotic weapon.

Arekkz explained that like the Thorn Exotic Hand Cannon in September, the quest for the Icebreaker will be dropped randomly, so players would have to rely on a bit of luck and the magic of RNG to get the exotic quest by turning in strike bounties.

As for the main quest itself, there is still no information as to how it will specifically play out, but according to Bungie, it will play out similarly to the Iron Gjallarhorn quest. We will describe the quest in more detail as we get more info about it.

"Destiny: Rise of Iron"'s The Dawning will start on Dec. 13 and will last until Jan. 3.
