Samsung has continued its tradition of offering budget smartphone with its new J-series offering- the Galaxy J5 Prime. Sony, on the other hand, has also kept its tradition of offering powerful camera and music phones with its XA series, especially the Xperia XA Ultra.
Let's compare and find out the difference and similarities.
In terms of screen and resolution, Sony fares way ahead with its stunning offering of 6'' huge screen having HD display. However, the J5 Prime boast a comparatively smaller screen size with 5.0" having 720x1280 resolution.
Both comes with IPS LCD display while, the Xperia XA Ultra feature scratch resistant glass and J5 Prime display is protected by Gorilla Glass.
When it comes to camera, Sony brand leads way ahead with the ultimate 21.5 MP rear camera and 16 MP front. Contrastingly, the J5 Prime lags behind with 13 MP rear and 5 MP front camera. Both the J5 Prime and the XA Ultra have LED Flash with front and rear cameras.
Both Android phones which runs on 6.0 (Marshmallow) will be compared better in terms of processor. Sony brand has offered the latest octa-core Helio P10 processor clocking at 2.0 GHz whereas the J5 Prime features a quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processor.
Comparing the storage option of both the phones, both the Sony Xperia XA Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime comes with 16 GB internal memory and can be expanded up to 256GB with dedicated microSD slot in both. In terms of RAM, the Ultra XA has 3GB RAM, while the J5 Prime only have 2GB of RAM in its frame.
Comparing the battery life, Samsung this time offers less with the J5 Prime which has only 2400mAH battery against the 2700mAH battery of XA Ultra.
Summing up, the Sony Xperia XA Ultra is very much pricier than the J5 Prime. If we keep in mind the price and features then, both phones are a good bet at their respective price offering.
