In terms of budget launches this year, today we will compare the Samsung Galaxy C7 and the Sony Xperia XA to see which tech giant wins this round.
When it comes to screen and resolution, the Galaxy C7 fares way ahead with its stunning offering of 5.7'' huge screen having HD display. However, the Xperia XA also boasts a comparatively impressive smaller screen size with 5.0" with a 720x1280 resolution.
The Xperia XA comes with IPS LCD display with scratch resistant glass, and the Galaxy C7 has a Super AMOLED touch screen.
Camera-wise, the Sony brand has a stunning lens, however, this time Samsung leads with the 16 MP rear camera coupled with dual LED flash. The Xperia XA also comes with a LED Flash 13 MP rear camera. Both have 8 MP front cameras.
Both Android phones run on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), while upgrade option to Android 7.0 in the Sony Xperia XA.
In terms of processor, the Sony phone has the latest octa-core Helio P10 processor clocking at 2.0 GHz, whereas the Samsung budget model features a octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor which has a slower clocking speed at 2.0 GHz.
Comparing the storage option of both the phones, the Xperia XA comes with 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory and can be expanded up to 256GB with dedicated microSD slot. The Galaxy C7 has 4GB RAM and comes with 32 GB/64GB option for internal storage. Memory can be expanded up to 256GB with a microSD support in Sim 2 slot.
Samsung offers more power with the C7 which has 3300mAH battery against the 2300mAH battery of the XA.
To sum it up, the Sony Xperia XA and the Samsung Galaxy C7 are priced in the same budget range. If we keep in mind the price and features, Samsung appears to be the winner.
