Only a few weeks back, some photos of the alleged successor to Sony Xperia XA had surfaced on the internet. Now, more images similar to the previous renders have again started circulating on the web. They seem to illustrate different outer features of the upcoming device.
The alleged renders circulated a month back were dubbed to be the successor of the previous Sony flagship smartphone, the Xperia XA. It showcased a phone with modified hardware and may be dubbed either the Sony Xperia XA '2' or even Xperia XB. Not much is known about the name at this point of time. However, some more photos made their way on the internet yesterday about the same device as displayed in the previous renders. The pictures are not very high resolution.
Hence, it gives us reason to believe that they may be hand clicked shots of a private and unreleased promotional video. According to the photos, there is a lack of a wide power key. This gives us reason to believe that this succeeding model may actually have no fingerprint scanner. It also seems that the USB port has been changed to be a USB-C connector itself.
According to the photos, there are at least 3 colors available. These include red, navy blue and purple. It is interesting to note that the light sensors and positioning of proximity is at the same place as the predecessor model, Xperia XA. These new pictures are quite similar to the previously distributed renders. Apart from this, there appears to be a small slit at the bottom part of the screen. Maybe this indicates the return of the stereo speakers in Sony Xperia models?
There is still no concrete information about the hardware and software specs of this upcoming device. The photos and renders are already out on the internet. We expect Sony to make a formal announcement at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in March.
