It has been announced by Bandai Namco that "Digimon World: Next Order" will have a US release for Playstation 4 in 2017. The game was initially launched in Japan for Playstation Vita last March 17, which makes the new game a port of the Vita version.

However, according to Polygon, the game will feature a more "enhanced and enriched" graphics and developers also explained that the Playstation 4 version will feature a better game balance which will make the game a bit more difficult than the original version.

To give us an idea of what to expect with regards to gameplay, here's a video by Digimon Gaming Community:

The gameplay is based on the Japanese version of "Digimon World: Next Order" in Playstation Vita. It showcases how the battle gameplay is, the character movement, and your interaction with your Digimon. Also, don't get discouraged by the graphics for now, since it is set to be improved by the time it gets to Playstation 4.

Features

According from Bandai Namco, here are the features that we can expect upon the release:

  • The game features 200 "Digimons" from the Anime hit series.

  • The success and growth rate of your "Digimon" partners will be dependent on you. You'll need to raise, train, feed, discipline, etc. to form strong bonds with your "Digimon". Basically, the stronger bonds you form with them, the stronger your "Digimon" will get and the higher their success rate on battles will be.

  • Having stronger bonds will make your "Digimon" more independent and move on their own. By cooperating and synchronizing with your "Digimon" partners, your success rate will also increase.

  • You will be able to recruit new "Digimon" to the village to expand or evolve it
