While "Sword Art Online" Season 3 seems to be still a dream for a lot of fans around the globe, the franchise is still alive with its latest game from Bandai Namco Entertainment entitled "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
The newest game in the franchise, after "Infinity Moment," "Hollow Fragment" and "Lost Song," will take avid followers of "Sword Art Online" into another visual journey with a new NPC named Premiere, who accompanies Kirito on his missions, according to Heavy. A puzzle has to be solved as she brings along a cryptic message for players to decode: "I am back to Aincrad."
To add to her mysterious character, Premiere's persona will be tuned by scanning and mining Twitter timeline feeds, according to Kotaku. The changes in her character will be reflected on a post-release patch, and her personality and vocabulary will make into an entirely new character, possibly into a good one or a bad one.
Gamers who have played the previous games will certainly feel at home as it returns to its MMORPG-based battle system, but with added new features. This time, players will get to explore the expansive "SAO" universe with three partners alongside Kirito. The player's allies can be heavily modified such as their names, genders, appearances and battle stats.
In addition to the party member customization, players who have pre-ordered the game will also receive exclusive costumes such as nightwear and maid costume, as well as costumes from another Bandai Namco game "God Eater".
Along with those pre-order bonuses, a PlayStation 4-exclusive Collector's Edition of the game is available and will feature the game disc, a SteelBook case, mini-posters, decal sheets, 6-inch-tall Kirito and Asuna figurines, two extra content discs and an artbook, all packaged in a huge Collector's Edition packaging.
The game also features downloadable content such as additional party members to be released later this year, and three story chapters, set to be released next year. This will give players more storyline and more hack-and-slash action.
"Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" is already out in Japan, while the worldwide release of the game will be on November 8.
