Created by J. G. Quintel, "Regular Show" vigorously spins around the daily lives of two 23-year-old friends, a blue jay Mordecai and a racoon, Rigby. The two work as a maintenance man at a park, yet spends their days attempting to avoid work by enthralling themselves in any methods.
The animated series, which premiered on Sept. 6, 2010, has received critical acclaim from critics. Many lauded the show's writing, the animation style, the use of motifs and the characters.
"'Regular Show' is a pretty awesome slice of refreshing off-the-wall comedy," a reviewer from IGN, R.L. Shaffer, wrote. "It's humorously animated, brazenly silly and almost always funny."
With this, the series was renewed for an eighth season on July 7, 2015, along with many other Cartoon Network shows. At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, "Regular Show" was scheduled to premiere on Sept. 26, 2016.
