The eagerly anticipated "Rick and Morty" season 3 will be somewhat longer than its predecessor. Latest reports claimed that the third season of the animated television series will consist of 14 episodes.
In a panel interview at the Magic City Comic Con last January, executive producer Dan Harmon revealed "Rick and Morty" season 3 is aiming to be released before the end of 2016 with 14 episodes being produced for the season, as opposed to the past two seasons airing 10 episodes each.
Up until today, there is no official air date has been announced. Nonetheless, writer Mike McMahan teased fans on Twitter about the launch date of the series, stating fans ought to resist the urge to panic because the eagerly anticipated "Rick and Morty" season 3 will be the best installment of the popular animated series.
With respect to its storyline, it is widely expected that there will be an intense breakout scene in the first episode of "Rick and Morty" season 3. Several trailers posted online seemingly hints at Rick escaping from the Galactic Federation Prison or someone will burst in to rescue him.
Avid viewers may recall the second season ended with Rick turned himself in the Galactic Federation Prison, thus, freeing his family from a life on the run. Aside from that, speculations are rife that there will be an Evil Morty character in the next season, bringing about a ton of exciting adventures to "Rick and Morty."
Meanwhile, GamenGuide claimed that the creators of the show will most likely drop the Interdimensional Cable style because many fans did not supposedly like it, as it lacks science-fiction and high-concept plotting.
During this year's San Diego Comic-Con, co-creator Justin Roiland pointed out that the writers are not considering making another Interdimensional Cable episode for "Rick and Morty" season 3. Nonetheless, it is worth noting that nothing is confirmed up to this writing.
