Konami's "PES 2017" demo is now being rolled out after "FIFA 17" was released a few days ago. Konami's soccer game will make way for PES players to access the PES League eSports competition.
PlayStation Universe reported that the demo will soon be released on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The demo launches this August 24 and will feature the following teams:
Atlético Madrid
Arsenal
Barcelona
Boca Juniors
River Plate
Corinthians
Flamengo
Germany
France
Eurogamer stated that these nine teams' stats will be based on the May 2016 data. This could mean that players may not expect updated ratings yet from the demo. Two stadiums will be made available for the demo and these are the FC Barcelona's Camp Nou and Neu Sonne Arena.
Konami also disclosed that some players in the demo to be released will not be their respective final versions. All these are still subject to change due to licensing issues and necessary updates will be rolled out after the game's release onwards.
"The competition will now be easier for all PES users to access," explains a Konami told press.
"For the first time in the series' history, PES 2017 will feature a dedicated mode that will allow users to partake in Official PES League matches."
PES eSports will allow Pro Evolution Soccer fans to pit against each other, see stats in full detail, and get prizes that can't even be bought by any in-game currency or real-world money. This isn't limited to just goodies, but also an entry to the PES World Finals itself.
"As the PES series continues to go from strength to strength, we are exploring a number of ways to build its reputation within the eSports sector," Jonas Lygaard, Senior Director of Brand and Business Development at Konami Digital Entertainment B.V stated.
"PES 2017" will be officially released worldwide on September 15. Be sure to stay tuned for more updates and news.
