Fans' jaws dropped when the official footage of EA's "FIFA 17" was released on this year's E3 last June. Konami might be changing, once they signed a partnership with Futbol Club Barcelona in their effort to bring us "PES 2017."

"Pro Evolution Soccer 2017" got the dibs with the exclusive rights for FC Barcelona's stadium. This means no FC stadium on EA's "FIFA 17." Konami's "PES 2017" advantage may not end here as the company has something else up its sleeves.

Both games looks insanely realistic, but "PES 2017" seems to be acing the likeness department.

As shown in the image gallery from Daily Star, facial structure, likeness and even emotions are all captures with their advanced 3D photo-scanning techniques. The gallery clearly shows how accurate, the faces are recreated and is sure to be a tough nut to crack for EA's "FIFA 17."

"By working closely with a team of Barcelona's stature we can introduce the PES series to a huge global fan base." Tomotoda Tashiro stated in a press release.

"This partnership will deliver access to the very best players in the modern game and to one of the world's most respected and ambitious clubs. The PES series is famed for its realism and control, so the fit between such a skilled team and a game that celebrates such ability is perfect." he added.

Konami isn't just about the face and securing a stadium. Gameplay is also one of "PES's" main strengths as it has always been with their previous titles.

Even with the previous "PES 2016" and "FIFA 16," the favor didn't go to the latter as "PES" executed the core gameplay mechanics better as per Kotaku's in-depth comparison. "FIFA" only did better with the licensing, commentaries, and the career mode, which is still subjective to most.

Whether "FIFA 17" will be better than "PES 2017," we will soon find out once both games are released. Stay tuned for more updates and comparison between the two soccer/futbol giants in videogame.
