A lot of speculations about "Red Dead Redemption 2" or "Red Dead 3" being revealed at the upcoming reveal of PS4. However, are there any truths to them?

A tweet from industry insider "Tidux" hinted that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be announced alongside Sony's new PlayStation 4.5 Neo. Though Sony and Rockstar's relationship stands on stable grounds, it is still highly impossible that fans will see "Red Dead Redemption 2" soon.

One of the biggest reasons for this is Rockstar's habit of not announcing either major or minor updates and patches in events. Titles like "GTA IV" or "GTA V" didn't see the light of E3 or any game convention or event, same thing with the original "Red Dead Redemption."

There's no mistake that "Red Dead Redemption 2," or whichever the company is going to call it, is already in development given that CEO Strauss Zelnick already said himself that "Red Dead" is already a permanent franchise for their company.

As to when the game will be revealed, it may still be a bit too soon for fans to expect it to come around.

All these facts point to Rockstar or Take-Two not revealing "Red Dead Redemption 2" alongside the PlayStation 4.5 Neo reveal. That is not to say, however, that the game would not be announced any time soon as the company can actually make it before OR after the event.

A reveal may be possible this year as we still have a couple of months to go before 2017. It is very unlikely that the game will even be released this year, but who knows? We might be in for a pleasant surprise for a "Red Dead Redemption 2" out of nowhere sooner or later.
