343 Industries has released a new multiplayer gameplay footage, plus some gorgeous screenshots taken from its upcoming real-time strategy game "Halo Wars 2."
During a presentation at Gamescom 2016, new footage of the game's multiplayer mode was released, and it looks absolutely glorious. Check out the video below, via Gematsu.
Those who will be attending Gamescom will be able to get an exclusive hands-on experience of "Halo Wars 2"'s new map, Rift, available on Strongholds multiplayer mode.
Microsoft has also released a whole set of stunning "Halo Wars 2" screenshots, which are taken from both campaign and multiplayer modes. Check them out on WCCF Tech.
It also looks like the game has improved heavily since its first beta testing in June. In a blog post on the Xbox Wire, 343 Industries Studio Head Dan Ayoub said that the team has taken aboard all the feedback from the beta testing, and thanks the beta testers for making the game even better.
"Probably the biggest criticism we heard about the beta was issues with connectivity, de-synchs, etc," Ayoub said. "I'm happy to say that, thanks to you, we've already addressed these issues in the final game."
Tons of changes in controls, base buildings evolution and leader powers usage, among others, were also implemented, as per beta testers' feedback.
Creative Assembly and 343 Industries are hard at work in making sure that the new "Halo Wars"
title will be as greatly received as the first one, which was released exclusively on Xbox 360 in 2008.
"The original 'Halo Wars' is a greatly beloved game," "Halo Wars 2" creative director Alistair Hope said on a recent blog post,"and the team are thrilled to be developing not only a contemporary sequel, but a new chapter in the 'Halo' story."
"Halo Wars 2" is scheduled to be officially released on February 21, 2017. The second beta will be available on both Xbox One and Windows 10 before its official launch early next year.
