Sony's PlayStation 4.5, or simply PS4 Neo, is rumored to be announced in the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, but that may not be the case because it may actually be earlier. Xbox One Scorpio might also be trying to wing the lead with exclusive games in development.
In a french gaming website called Gameblog, Julien Chièze reported that the PS4 Neo will actually be announced in a different game event in New York.
As indicated in the site, the PS4 Neo is expected by many people to be announced in the upcoming TGS, but their sources tells otherwise. The Tokyo Game Show is scheduled for Septermber 17 - 18 2016 for the public and is to be held at Hakuhari Messe convention center in Tokyo, Japan.
With either rumors, we can be sure that we'll see PS4 Neo really soon.
In other news, Xbox One Scorpio might be a bit in a lead as Xbox division head Phil Spencer already confirmed that games are already in the works as reported by Digital Trends.
Spencer responded to a tweet by a fan asking if the developers are already working on something for the project scorpio.
The Xbox head explained that the development teams are already working on Scorpio's hardware, platform, and games prior to the new console's planned launch in 2017.
Xbox One Scorpio was announced in this year's E3 and it is said that it may be a significant upgrade from the former Xbox One with 4K capability or Ultra HD Blu-ray player.
One major factor to consider the Xbox One Scorpio is the "high-fidelity" VR as Microsoft partners with popular VR-Headset maker Oculus. This will pave way for the Xbox One to take advantage of Oculus Rifts VR features.
