Good news awaits all "Hunter X Hunter" fans. Latest reports claimed that the manga series will return sooner or later in February 2017.
Just when the "Hunter X Hunter" manga had its much-awaited comeback in June, the said series has been reported to take an indefinite hiatus again. The series stopped publishing at episode 361, in the nick of time when the Dark Continent Arc began.
"Hunter X Hunter" hiatus has been credited to the manga's original creator and writer Yoshihiro Togashi's recurring back pain. As previously reported here on Mobile & Apps, the 50-year-old manga artist has been experiencing extreme agony from the hips downwards, which evidently restricts his movement.
"The last time the series was put on hold, it was because of Togashi-sensei's lower back pain and once again, his condition has gotten worse, necessitating a break again," "Hunter X Hunter" publisher, Shueisha, told RocketNews24. "At this time, it is not certain when we will be able to resume the series."
To main the scheduled air date, speculations are rife that "Hunter X Hunter's" production house is reportedly planning to enlist a set of new writers that would continue the series on behalf of Yoshihiro Togashi.
While many were relieved with the news, some fans cannot help but wonder whether there it will compromise the manga's overall quality. Many fans believed that the supposed new writers may not match Yoshihiro Togashi's level of creativity.
To address the said concerns, the production house has reportedly thought of one solution, according to Movie News Guide. The news outlet claimed that the production house will reportedly request Yoshihiro Togashi to fill in as a consultant to the new set of writers.
While nothing is impossible, the reports should be taken with a grain of salt unless an official from the manga's production house confirm it. Stay tuned for more "Hunter X Hunter" news and updates.
