Trainer's Pokédex just got a lot bigger with the six new pokémon that have been introduced in "Pokémon Sun and Moon." Going past level 100 has also been made possible with the game's new leveling mechanics.
A video was recently posted on The Official Pokémon Channel's YouTube channel. This showcases six new additional pokémon to the upcoming game and it didn't take long to get fans attentions. This includes the popular Mimikyu, who's trying to disguise as our favorite Pikachu.
Here's a quick rundown of these new additions to the already large roster of "Pokémon Sun and Moon"
First off would be Wimpod. As the name suggests, this pokémon tends to "wimp out" and escape encounters. This happens once the critter reaches below half of its hit points.
The next one is Mimikyu. This pokémon had its own intro earlier than the rest of them an easily gained popularity, especially with its striking resemblance to Pikachu. Mimikyu has the disguise ability that mainly evades attack and alter its look.
These two were followed by Mudsdale, a pokémon that resembles a horse covered in mud. This is a ground type pokémon that has the ability called Stamina that increases its defense after being attacked.
Then there's Comfey. Polygon's speculation of Comfey's origin was that of "Ring Around the Rosie." It is a fairy-type pokémon that has the Triage ability, which prioritizes restoring health in battles.
We also have Bewear. As punny as it sounds, the name derives from "bear" and "were?" We could be wrong, but the fighting-type pokémon can be as deadly as it is cuddly. The ability Fluffy halves the damages it takes, but in turn, doubles fire damages it sustains.
Finally, we got Bounsweet. Some may think that it has a bit of a resemblance with some digimon with its appearance. It is technically a fruit with a face.
With the additional pokémon added, Eurogamer also reported that level caps go beyond 100 with "Pokémon Sun and Moon." This is possible through Hyper Training to further improve the stats of trainers' pokémon.
