Square Enix has just released a new trailer today. Unfortunately, it's not the much awaited "Kingdom Hearts 3."

The new trailer for the new "Kingdom Hearts" HD remaster has arrived. The official title for the game is "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Prologue", and will set up fans for the release of "Kingdom Hearts 3", according to Endgadget.

The game includes three chapters which will prepare the players for the upcoming sequel.

The first one is called "Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep - A Fragmentary Passage". The playable chapter features Aqua, one of the first wielders of the Keyblade, and her fight against the Heartless.

The game runs using Unreal Engine 4, which will be the same engine that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be using, and Kotaku reports that the results look good so far.

Also included in "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" is the 3D movie "Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover", which tells the story of the Foretellers, which might have had a bigger role in the Keyblade War, according to Nerdist. The Foretellers appeared in Square Enix's new mobile game "Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ".

And of course as the fans already know, the main chapter in the game will be the HD remaster of "Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance", which was originally released on Nintendo 3DS.

The release of the game will keep the "Kingdom Hearts" fans busy while waiting for the highly anticipated "Kingdom Hearts 3". While Square Enix has revealed that "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" will be available in Winter this year, there is still no announcement of a release date for the upcoming sequel.

The video did show at the end, however, that more information about "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be revealed in Winter as well. This means while "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" will be showcased at this year's Electronics Entertainment Expo, or E3, fans might not get anything "Kingdom Hearts 3" at the popular trade expo.

"Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Prologue" will be available for the Playstation 4 in December.
